  • Depending upon experience
  • According to the Salary Scheduled approved by the HISD Board of Trustees

 

Position Requirements:                    

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
  • Meets the NCLB “Highly Qualified” requirements
  • At least one year student teaching or approved internship

d.       A transcript for all college and/or university work.  An Official transcript is required, if employed. 

e.        Copy of teaching certificate

f.         Copy of PDAS Training Certificate, if applicable

g.       Copy of Eligibility of Internship, if applicable

h.       Copy of ExCet or TExES test results

i.         The names of at least four (4) persons who can provide a professional recommendation for you (College Placement file will be acceptable).  Please provide complete mailing address, including zip code, and telephone number.
