Hitchcock ISD Announces Strategic Staff Reorganization

Hitchcock, TX (July 2, 2024— Hitchcock Independent School District is excited to announce a series of strategic staff promotions and new appointments that underscore our commitment to excellence in education. These changes reflect the high caliber of our staff and our dedication to providing the best educational experience for our students.

Jon Reese, formerly the Assistant Principal at Crosby Middle School, has been appointed Principal of Stewart Elementary. With 12 years of experience in education and 3 years at HISD, Jon is passionate about working with younger students and looks forward to his new role.

Holly Chester, a former 4th-grade math teacher beloved by students and staff, will serve as the Dean of Students at Crosby Middle School under Principal Donnette Line. Holly brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to supporting our children and community.

Megan Stall, who previously taught 6th Grade Science and Coaching Robotics at Crosby Middle School, has been promoted to Instructional Technology and Assessment Coordinator for the district. Megan is a Texas A&M graduate with 14 years of teaching experience and is enthusiastic about enhancing our use of technology and data to improve student performance. She will continue to coach our award winning Robotics team.

Patrick Faour, who has served in various roles at HISD for 14 years, including teacher, principal, and coordinator of assessment and accountability, has been promoted to HR Coordinator. Patrick is passionate about building a positive culture and reenergizing our staff.

Alicia Hogan will join Hitchcock ISD as Assistant Principal of Hitchcock Primary School, following Alina Spoons' move to a neighboring district. Alicia comes to us with 15 years of experience in education, most recently with Texas City ISD where she served as a classroom teacher and ELA & Social Studies Instructional Specialist. She is dedicated to school improvement and student success.
Superintendent Travis W. Edwards commented on the reorganization, stating, "These strategic changes are designed to strengthen our academic foundation and support our commitment to excellence. We are confident that these leaders will bring their expertise and dedication to help our students achieve their highest potential."
