Hitchcock ISD will resume normal operations tomorrow, January 23rd, with all campuses opening at their regular times. Classes and all planned activities will proceed as scheduled.

The Association of Texas Small School Bands is pleased to announce the selection of three Hitchcock High School Bulldogs to the 2025 ATSSB All-State Band. More than 10,000 high school band students from across Texas auditioned in twenty-two different regions for a place in their respective all-region bands. The top chairs in each region advanced to one of the five area auditions held this past weekend across the state, and only 286 of these students were selected for all-state honors.

Hitchcock ISD is actively working with the Galveston County Health District to address a reported case of Tuberculosis (TB) involving an individual associated with Hitchcock High School. We understand the concerns this may cause and want to assure our community that we are taking every step necessary to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families.

We’re thrilled to announce the cast and crew for the upcoming All-District Musical, "The Spongebob Musical"! Thank you to all students who auditioned and showed off their amazing talent. This is going to be a spectacular production, and we can’t wait to see it come to life!

Hitchcock ISD invites our community to a special event celebrating the achievements of three of our outstanding student-athletes. On December 4th at 9:30 AM, join us in the Hitchcock High School Gymnasium as Lloyd Jones III, Malcolm Simpson, and Kelshaun Johnson officially commit to their respective universities: Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Texas A&M.

Yesterday, Superintendent Travis W. Edwards and Hitchcock High School’s Ernest Trigo had the distinct honor of meeting Vice Admiral Nathan A. Moore, Commander of the Atlantic Area for the U.S. Coast Guard, aboard the V/M Sam Houston. This special invitation was a valuable opportunity for Mr. Edwards and Mr. Trigo to further strengthen Hitchcock ISD’s connections within the maritime industry—a pivotal step as we prepare to launch our Maritime Program in the new Fine Arts & CTE Center set to open this spring

Hitchcock ISD proudly announces that Za'keteriece Watson-Perrodin and Melody Sowell, two exceptional students, have been chosen to serve on the Regional Youth Leadership Council (RYLC) for the East Region Unified Champion Schools. Hitchcock High School and Brazosport High School are the only two schools in the greater Houston area with students selected for this honor, a testament to the commitment these students have made to promoting inclusion on campus and in the community.
