Academic Support Beyond the Bell

Hitchcock ISD’s Commitment to Excellence Starts Here initiative provides Stewart Elementary students with additional opportunities to strengthen academic skills outside the traditional school day through Wednesday tutorials, Saturday tutorials and online learning opportunities.

Students selected for Wednesday tutorials will be identified based on academic need, and their families will be contacted directly by Stewart Elementary administration. Wednesday tutorials are held from 4:00–4:50 PM, with transportation available for participating students.

Our next step will be to offer Saturday sessions to be held from 9:00–10:15 AM, and more information about these will be relayed to you soon. Transportation will not be provided for the Saturday sessions.

The initiative also includes an Online Learning Challenge, along with student recognition and incentives throughout the year for participation, effort and progress.
