Teacher Incentive Allotment Recipients

Congratulating Our 2025-26 TIA Recognized Teachers

Hitchcock ISD Celebrates 26 Teachers for Earning Teacher Incentive Allotment Designations

HITCHCOCK, TX – Hitchcock Independent School District (HISD) is proud to announce that 26 of its educators have earned designations through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program, marking the second year Hitchcock ISD teachers have been eligible for this prestigious recognition. These designations reward teachers for their exceptional instructional impact and student growth, providing them with additional compensation while ensuring they remain in the classroom to continue making a difference.

How Hitchcock ISD Teachers Earned This Recognition

TIA is not a grant but a highly selective designation system that recognizes teachers based on student growth, teacher performance, and impact on learning outcomes. Hitchcock ISD developed a rigorous local designation system, approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), that evaluates teacher effectiveness using multiple measures, including:

Student Growth Data – Teachers were assessed based on how much academic progress their students made over a school year. Instead of just focusing on achievement scores, TIA prioritizes the growth of each student, ensuring that teachers making the biggest impact are rewarded.

Classroom Observations – Highly effective teachers consistently demonstrated instructional excellence through structured evaluations aligned with the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS).

Teaching Excellence & Commitment – Teachers who consistently engaged students, adapted instruction, and fostered a culture of success were considered for designation.

Through this process, Hitchcock ISD identified 26 outstanding educators who exceeded expectations and demonstrated remarkable student growth and instructional effectiveness.

“At Hitchcock ISD, we are focused on building strong classrooms across every campus. These designations reflect the work our teachers are doing each day to support student growth and deliver high-quality instruction. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to recognizing excellence and ensuring every student benefits from strong teaching in every classroom.”

HOW HITCHCOCK ISD TEACHERS EARN THIS RECOGNITION

TIA is not a grant, but a rigorous designation system that recognizes teachers based on their impact on student learning and instructional effectiveness.

Hitchcock ISD utilizes a locally developed designation system, approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which includes multiple measures:

  • Student Growth Data – Teachers are evaluated on the academic progress their students make throughout the year, with a focus on growth for all learners.
  • Classroom Observations – Instructional practices are measured through structured evaluations aligned to the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS).
  • Instructional Impact – Teachers demonstrate the ability to engage students, adjust instruction, and create classroom environments where students are supported and challenged.

A GROWING IMPACT

This year’s group includes:

  • Newly designated teachers earning recognition for the first time

  • Teachers advancing to higher levels of distinction
  • Educators maintaining their designation, continuing to demonstrate consistent impact

Together, these educators represent a strong and growing group of professionals who are making a measurable difference in student outcomes across Hitchcock ISD.

A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Hitchcock ISD remains committed to:

  • Recognizing and rewarding effective teaching

  • Supporting professional growth
  • Strengthening instruction across all campuses
  • Ensuring every student benefits from high-quality learning experiences

As the district continues this work, the expansion of TIA designations reflects a clear focus on results, accountability, and student success.

What’s Next for Hitchcock ISD?

With this second group of TIA-designated teachers, Hitchcock ISD is committed to expanding the program and supporting more teachers in earning this recognition. The district will continue to prioritize student growth and teacher effectiveness, ensuring that Hitchcock educators have the opportunity to achieve these career milestones in the coming years.
