2024-25 Registration

Is this your first child to enroll at Hitchcock ISD? Please, first, make sure that you can provide all of the information below. 

If this is your first student to enroll at Hitchcock ISD you will need to create a "Skyward" account. Do not select this option if you already have a student enrolled at HISD.

Once your guardian account is created, you will click on the "home" button and proceed to "New Student Enrollment" as pictured below.

To complete this online registration, you must have an email address you can access. If you do not have an email address, there are a number of free web-based email systems that allow you to quickly create an account (such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo! Mail. 

Are you already a bulldog guardian and need to register a NEW bulldog to the HISD family?

If you already have a student currently enrolled in Hitchcock ISD and need to register a new student for 2024-2025, log into your Skyward Family Access account. Once you log into family access, you can click the arrow down next to the "Home Icon" and select "New Student Enrollment" just as pictured here.

The following items will be required to enroll a child at Hitchcock ISD:

• Legal birth certificate - (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov)
• Student’s social security card
• Immunizations that are from outside of the United States and are not in English will need to be officially translated by a United States Primary Care Provider or Galveston County Health Department.
• Proof of residence-electric bill in parent/guardian name - form of a current (within last 30 days)

• You LIVE in a home that YOU OWN within Hitchcock ISD boundaries
  • You must provide a current Utility bill for that home (We only accept bills with service address provided.)
  • If you have not received your utility bill please provide your Dead of Trust received at closing.

• You RENT a home/apartment within Hitchcock ISD boundaries
  • Please provide your lease AND a current utility bill in your name.
  • If the utility bill is not in your name, we will need your lease AND the most recent utility bill in your landlord's name.

• Copy of driver’s license from parent/guardian enrolling student
• Last Report Card
• Transcript (High School Only)

To enroll a student, the parent, legal guardian, or person showing evidence of legal responsibility must complete the online registration process.

At the time of registration, the parent should notify the school of any court order affecting the student.

Out of district transfer application will be reviewed by the campus administrator during the summer.

Once approved the campus will contact the parent to finish the registration process.

Please email the completed application and any needed documentation to the registrar at the campus where you would like to enroll your child.

All enrollment for Kids First Head Start must be done in person. Stop by the campus, located at 5701 FM 2004 or call 409-316-6541 for more information. Kids First Head Start is a grant funded program offering for eligible three and four year olds.

To attend KFHS in the 2024-2025 school year, children must be three or four years old by September 1, 2024. 

Eligibility:

• Children must be three or four years old by September 1, 2024
• Must meet income eligibility guidelines and/or qualify for free or reduced National Nutrition Program
• Limited proficiency in English
• Homeless
• Disabilities
• Food Stamps

Application Requirements:

• Birth Certificate
• Immunization record
• Social Security Card
• Family income verification (4 recent check stubs for each member employed), 2023 Tax Return, 2023 W-2 Form, TANF and/or SSI, Child Support)
• Proof of residence in Hitchcock, and Santa Fe, Texas school districts. (Ex. lease agreement, utility bills, or receipt with address listed.)
• If living in someone else’s home, the homeowner must provide proof of residency from the list above.
• ID If student lives with someone else other than parents, please provide notarized or court documentation
• Health insurance card
• Physical (within last 12 months including Lead and Anemia results)
• Dental (within last 6 months)
• Food Stamp Award Letter

• The Hitchcock Public Library is located at 8005 Barry Ave and is open 10am to 5pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday), 10am to 6pm (Thursday), 10am to 3pm (Saturday). They offer public computers with internet access and are a great resource for helping you through the process.

How to Scan Documents from Your Phone

• iPhone
  • Open Notes and tap the camera button. You will be prompted to Scan a Document or Take a Photo or Video.
  • Choose Scan Document, lay out the documents that you want to scan, and it will save them as a PDF

  • Open the Google Drive app
  • In the bottom right, tap Add
  • Tap Scan
  • Take a photo of the document you'd like to scan. Adjust scan area: Tap Crop. Take photo again: tap re-scan current page. Scan another page: tap Add
  • To save the finished document, tap Done

My student was enrolled in Hitchcock ISD in a prior year, am I able to use my Skyward Family Access login information to submit New Student Online Enrollment?

On the Skyward Family Access login screen select “Enrollment Access” at the bottom of the screen, enter your login information and click ‘Sign In’. This will take you to the New Student Online Enrollment page.

My children were enrolled in Hitchcock ISD last year, but withdrew before the end of the year. What do I need to do to enroll them?

Your children are considered “New Students”. Please refer to the above question about how to submit the New Student Online Enrollment using your Skyward Family Access login information.

I currently have an active student attending a school in Hitchcock ISD. I have another child that will be new to Hitchcock ISD. How do I enroll this child?

You will be able to enroll the new student using your Skyward Family Access login information. Please refer to question 2 on how to submit the New Student Online Enrollment using your Skyward Family Access login information.

I do not have a computer and/or internet access at home. Can I still enroll my child?

Yes, you may use any computer with internet access at any location. The best thing to do is to visit the campus and complete your information on a school computer. Alternatively, you may use any available computer with internet access to complete an application (such as a friend or family member).

Once I complete the enrollment forms online, am I finished with the enrollment process?

As long as all required documents have been submitted and your forms have been completed, you have completed the enrollment process.
