Candidate Applications
To apply for a position on the ballot, please pick up a Candidate Application and Information packet at the Hitchcock ISD Administration Building. You must be a registered voter and must live within the boundaries of the District you wish to apply. For additional information on these and other qualifications, please see Board Policy BBA (Legal) following this document.
 
The District will accept applications on regular business days from January 18, 2023 – February 17, 2023, between the hours of 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
 
*Applications must be received by the end of business on February 17, 2023.*
 
Voting
Early Voting is at Hitchcock City Hall  on the following dates/times:
April 24, 2023 to April 28, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
May 1 - 2, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m
 
Election Day Polling Location is at Hitchcock ISD Administration Building on  the following dates/times:
May 6, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required by Election Code Section 141.001.
